Not So Good

Well I was us this week. I didn't get to workout last night cause I was out showing property, so I don't think that helped at all. I was not the only one with a bad week which makes me feel a little better, but still I would have like to stay the same and not gained. Maybe next week I can get in more workouts and less eating. Duh, isn't that the goal every week.

Hello All

Well my soreness has finally wore down to a dull pain instead of a severe one. I feel better, I always do when I get in the habit of working out again. My eating has been fair since the disaster of a birthday party where I ate everything I could get my hands on. I'm still struggling but trying to make better food decisions.

I was 2nd place in the contest this week. Getting beat only by my sister. I think I can take her in the next couple of weeks though. But everyone else is coming on strong.

I am going to get one of my 3 hard workouts in this week. I am taking a new strategy this time. I am working out every day again but having three days that I absolutely kick my tail. Workout til exhaustion. They hurt pretty bad but I always sleep good on those nights. I'll let you know how it goes.

Another Birthday (This One Cost Me To Gain)

Well my sister who is not in the weight loss challenge decided that she was going to celebrate her birthday at Olive Garden. It was delicious!!!! Really really delicious, I should know cause I ate enough for 5 grown people. Oh it was sooooo good. I will have to say my body is adjusting to my smaller portions cause my stomach hurt so bad when I was done. I should have known better but it was sooooooooo good.

Weigh In Day

Well I had a fantastic weigh in today, I was down 8.8 pounds. So yeah for me. I was at a house this morning which is why my post is sooooo late, I actually weighed at like 6 o'clock this morning.

Also today I would like to wish LLL a Happy Birthday. She is hitting a milestone this year I wont tell which one, so happy birthday and enjoy lots and lots and lots of cakes and cookies for your birthday. (She is on the diet with us)

Chew On This

I wanted to share a book that I have started reading with you all. I keep up with lots of blogs around the web and I know some of you are organic eaters and others are not. I don't really expect this book would even change your eating habits but it really does get you to thinking. The book is full of facts, but amazingly interesting.

I was waiting on my mom for lunch the other day so I popped into the bookstore next door. I didn't go in looking for anything. Well of course this one caught my eye and had a good price on it, so I figured I would give it a try. I started reading it last night (not done yet but about half way through) and I have loved it so far.

So if you get a chance and you would like something to read while you are out by the pool give this book a chance.

I May Have Spoken To Soon

Well after my post yesterday I went and worked out like I said. I did the workout that I said and I came home and began to hurt really really bad. I had already bragged about not being to sore and last night I was pretty sure I was going to be really sore this morning, but never fear, I woke up with some aches and pains but nothing to bad, not nearly as bad as last night.

I have another hard workout again tonight and then weigh in in the morning. I have done good so far, I know it is week one and it is easy to do good on the first week but it still feels good when you do it right.

Not So Bad

Well after my workout Monday night I was really feeling weak in the legs and the buttock area, but on Tuesday I was not as sore as I had anticipated. Well then Tuesday was a big night for me and I didn't get to go workout, but trust me what I was doing was more important.

Any how, back to the gym in about an hour, and tonight is going to be a serious hard workout. For my first night back I did the elliptical for 30 minutes on level 5 which was amazing being that I have not workout in what seems like forever. Tonight more elliptical, a little bike, and some running, with some sculpting move on the treadmill with weights.

I have to work on the bike thing cause I will be participating in an event call "Leaves of Lincoln" a 15 mile bike ride, so I need to prepare. I'm thinking about wearing spandex (See Rules)

And They're Off

OK well the diet started today. I had my first weigh in this morning along with everyone else. It does not really matter what this mornings weigh in was, this was just the starting weight. We will weigh again on Friday for the first weight loss one and every Friday from then on out til the end of time. Its really only 8 weeks but as you all know last time about week 6 I'm tire and my body hurts and I am ready to be done.

Just So You Know

I have started a new weight loss "thing" so with that comes the first few days of me belly aching...just stick with me guys it will get better. I am going to do my best to post every single day, even if I have nothing really important to say, just to keep you all updated.

New Weight Loss Challenge

Like I told you all a couple of days ago I have become part of a new weight loss challenge. This one is just with my family but there is lots of $money$ at stake. It cost to enter and only the winner gets the pot. You all know I am extremely motivated by winning a prize and when that is money I go a little crazy. So wish me luck. Here are the rules for the new contest, I thought you may enjoy.

1. You must weigh on the same day, and you must weigh every week
2. You must weigh on the same scale every time, and it should be a stationery scale that never moves.
3. You must have your results in by 6 p.m. on weigh day. Ranking will be sent out by the following Monday at 12 noon at the latest.
4. Results are based on the percentage of weight lost, not pounds.
5. Winner wins the whole pot of money
6. The challenge lasts 8 weeks, I don't have a calendar in front of me, but the end date will be on the first week's results.

It is an honesty based contest because some people are playing from out of town, but with it being family I know no one will lie.

So for this weekend I will eat everything I can possibly fit in my mouth and drink crazy amounts of water so I can get my weight up for the first weigh in.

Yeah new contest......3 days.

I Am Back From Vacation

I got back from my vacation yesterday, I wanted to post while I was there but the wireless Internet in the place where we were staying was not working. So after a long weekend, I am back to the world of Internet Access.

I wanted to let you all know, that the last weight loss challenge at the Patrick, the health club, was so unsuccessful that me and my family all dropped out of the competition. Well over vacation we decided to start one up with just our families. So, new contest starting Monday. I will keep y'all informed the best I can.

I'm posting when I can but work has gotten busy "Yeah" so I don't have as much sit down time. I will do my best.

Pictures Like I Promised

Here are the pictures I promised you guys. The first are the blue angels, they flew so close to each other and were sooooo loud. It was pretty amazing to watch.

This last picture here is a commercial passenger plane that had been modified to do tricks and stunts. Kind of amazing.

Finally I have some pictures of the crowd for you all. These were funny pictures. The sun was blaring down on us and I have to admit I looked like this too, but I'm not in the picture.

Huntsville Air Show

Well this weekend I had the joy of attending the Huntsville air show. As many of you know on Sunday a little boy was killed and others injured at the same air show. Please pray for his family. However, we were there on Saturday, and the weather didn't start until we left. Anyway we had a marvelous time. We got to sit in a tent right on the runway and had an up close and personal view of the tricks.

I have some pictures coming of the air show but I have to get them off my nieces camera. I do have a couple taken from my cell phone.

Now these were the 6 Blue Angel planes. Very cool. They were much more precise than the others but they were so so so much louder. The people from this area probably know of Scott and De De Morning show. Well she was in our tent with her little boy. And the blue angels started and it scared the crap out of him. Before I knew I was holding him and he had his head on my shoulder. He was precious. I think the noise was just a little too much for him.

And while I'm just dropping names, I also got to meet another person this week that I am absolutely in LOVE with. None other than the magnificent Don Phelps walked into my tent. I know it sounds crazy that I am crazy for a news personality but I don't care who thinks I am crazy. I have a picture with him too, and its on its way. I even told him I was going to blog about him.

Well I just wanted to share my fun experience with you all, and check up on this for some additional pictures.
