Happy Halloween!!!!!

I love this holiday so to everyone out there....

Weigh In

Well I had a good day today. I was down another 2 pounds. Yeah for me.

I have updated the ticker as well.

I will tell you all about my yesterday and why the stars were not aligned for me to get any exercise. I got to the gym in the morning and had been on the bike for 5 minutes to warm up and then just gotten on the treadmill to start the had core workout. At that time one of the workers came upstairs and told me that someone had hit my car in the parking lot. Now there are a lot of older people that come in in the morning so I just assumed that someone backed into my car and dinged it up a little bit. Not so much.

When I got outside I noticed that half of my bumper was sitting on the ground and there was all kinds of water spilled out on the ground. The car in front of mine was also hit pretty bad. We called the cops and a tow truck and by the time I got my car towed and a new car to drive I had about 15 minutes til I needed to be at work. So I went to work, NO WORKOUT!!!

Then when I went back to the gym in the afternoon to get my workout there was a small black car (that is what hit me) in the parking lot with front end damage and red paint. I immediately thought this might be the car that hit me. So the cops came out again. Turns out it was not but by the time this got straighted out I had missed about 30 minutes of the hour long workout class.

So total yesterday, a day I would have normally gotten 3 hours of workout time, I got a whopping 35 minutes.

Rock On

I had a great weigh in this week. I was down 5 lbs from Sunday. Sunday was 4 pounds from last Friday so in a week I dropped 9 lbs in on week. Rock ON!!!!!

Great week. I was really excited and needed to see a really good number for once.

I don't know if I ever shared with you all my day on Saturday but I need to to explain this next picture. On Friday I went to the school to help my cousin with her basketball practice. The assistant coach was out of town. I went from there to the gym to get my workout in....all well and normal.
Well after the gym I went to my sisters house to help with some yard work. This is the main reason for the soreness this week. I got the job of using the axe (which I love and beg for) and getting stumps out of the ground. Well needless to say this killed my back and arms and even my legs. Well in the process of killing my body I also got a blister.

Now, yes I know a blister does not count as soreness but when you see where it is I want you all to try and imagine holding a dumbbell.


Hello again.

Last night I had Zumba again. This week she decided to turn it up a! The dance moves that I didn't get last week were nearly impossible this week. I did leave class a little early this week cause I had to do my weights on my legs. I had to miss yesterday morning for a school function so I just left class before cool down.

I don't have much more to share with you guys today....I haven't weighed so I cant update you on that, so I will update on Friday like usual.

Ohhhhhhh I can tell you workout this morning was wonderfully hard and kicked my butt, but I was so efficient I somehow finished about 10 minutes early so I got in the hot tub. It may not sound like much but when your body is as sore as mine has been for the last week it was like a little piece of heaven.

We Have Proof!!!!

My sister who we did the clothing/80's Intervention on was spotted the next day in the garbage bags of clothes that we through away, as many of you may remember. Well she promised that she didn't get anything out......well look here. Proof that she did indeed take some of the ugliest shoes out of the trash. I have given her 3 weeks to trash them or I was going to blog about it and she opted for the blog.

Let's Pretend it's Friday

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was kinda busy you know, lunch, workout, posing for Southern Living. Really, my sisters and I were in the local Coffee Shop and a photographer came in and wanted us to pose for pictures for the travel issue. Look for it this spring.

Anyway, I just needed to share that little bit for you. I did weigh yesterday and I was the same as I had been last week. I am really not discouraged about this week though. My exercise has really stepped up this week so I am feeling great.

I also wanted to share with you all the new workout class I am taking. You may have heard of it or seen the infomercial. It is called Zamba. Here is a little preview of what it looks like.

Now there are individual routines performed to certain songs. Cha chas, sambas and Hip Hop dances. They have been doing this class for like 8 weeks now but I just started. Some of the people knew some of the dances and some were new like me and looking pretty stupid. Also, there is no breaks so your heart rate stays really high for the entire hour. It was great fun and I know there are some dances that we have not even done yet so it should continue to be new and exciting.

So if any of you are interested look into this class in your area, if you are from here call me and we can go together.

Next Friday I will actually try to post on Friday.

I am going to get back to my lunch and Vandy game. Go DORES!!!!!!

Biggest Loser Fitness

I told you all I would find a picture of this book so you all could see it. This is the one I am reading right now. (If I looked like the one on the Left, Jillian I would never wear a shirt) It has a lot of tips and guidance for circuit training. Just Sharing.

John McCain

I know you all think that by the title this is going to be a political post....guess again. Many of you who know me know I am an extremely political person, but I swore I would not allow myself to talk about politics on my blog.

The reason I named this post John McCain is because I spent the entire day yesterday not being able to lift my arms more than shoulder height. I am not making fun of this presidential hopeful, just trying to find a new way to tell you that, YES I AM STILL SORE. My workout this morning was arms again and I think I may have worked out most of the soreness. My legs are still holding in there, probably because they are getting a lot of use with my cardio.

Also, I didn't weigh this morning I am still trying to wait til Friday but I was able to tell a little bit of a difference in my jeans this morning. So YEAH!!!!!!

Guys I'll be honest with you I feel like I am saying the same thing over and over. With that being said:

I am still pretty sore today, I feel like I have been riding a horse all weekend. Its mostly my lower body that is sore but I just did a crazy hard arm workout today so "hopefully" my arms will be sore tomorrow. I have just received a copy of my book on circuit training and I am really enjoying it. I am about half way through it and already implementing the things that I have read. When I find a picture of it I will post for all of you to see. It is one of the Biggest Loser books and they say they sell it at most Wal-Marts but I couldn't ever find it there.

I am trying to weigh on Thursdays or Fridays and I will let y'all know where I am in my progress. If I weigh in the middle of the week I may not post it but I will probably change my ticker at the top of the page. I really try hard not to weigh in the middle of the week cause it makes the number bigger (hopefully) if I wait.

I am BIG on the BIG numbers. Wow, I know, bad play on words.

Happy Friday!!!

I do love Friday, but unlike many of you I do not necessarily get Saturday off, but being that the Real Estate Market is in the pooper right now it is looking pretty good that I might get to sleep in tomorrow.

My body is really tired especially since I started going to the gym again and not just doing little workouts at the house. So I am thinking that my joints and muscles could use a little bit of a break. I will probably still workout tomorrow just maybe not as intense as it has been the last 5 days.

Also, I updated the ticker at the top of the page. I will let you all know that this is from the beginning of the year. Just thought I would point that out.

Ohhhh I'm Sore AGAIN

I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and start with my workouts since I was already sore. So that is what I did. I have worked out the last two days and really worked out most of my muscle groups and now it hurts when I sit on the toilet. Ha!

Leaves of Lincoln

Well we had a great weekend at the Leaves of Lincoln event. Many many people showed up in lots and lots of spandex, y'all know how I love spandex. (See the Rules Post) I think overall it was a successful ride. I rode the 15 mile track (stopped here and there and rode the SAG wagon) with my niece and we both had a good time. I have decided however that I don't really love this sport. But I might like it more now. I bought at the silent auction something called the "Big Booty Seat" which is about 4 times the size of a regular seat and fills with air, so I think that my increase my joy of riding.

Leaves of Lincoln

Hello all, this is your friendly little neighborhood reminder, Leaves of Lincoln is this weekend.

Please come out, dust your bike off, fix the strap on you helmet and come ride for a good cause.

I will be riding in the event and working it but if I actually get any pictures I will try to get them on here for you all to see.

Trail of Tears

I was going to share some pictures for you from our last weekends "fundraiser." The reason I put it like that is that it cost a lot more funds than we raised. We cooked and toted tons of food and drinks and buns and chips back and forth from school to the fairgrounds. The reason I am showing this to you now and not before now is because it was not funny until now.

This was the start of the pile, just drinks, the next one is my sisters standing next to the full pile in the corner. You can tell how big it is compared to them.

Another reason I finally spoke out about Trail of Tears is because here in our local papers and on the radio everyone seems to have an opinion about it. The dancers are mad they were pushed to the far side of the stadium, the vendors are mad cause we were told there was going to be 42,000 people and there were probably less than 5,000. The local businesses were hurt because of road closings, it just ended up being a huge disappointment, so I figured it could be my time to talk about it on my medium.

The New Diet

Ha Ha, the diet has not really changed, but I have a funny to share with you.

I have really been craving Krispy Kream donuts and Chocolate ice cream. Basically anything sweet. So as I am forcing down my salad or green beans I just imagine that it is actually something good that I like to eat and not what it really is.

Just in case you were wondering, no this does not work but it makes me feel a little better.
