Thursday/Monday...Whew What A Day

First off let me just say, thank for all the comments today.  I love blog hops because it helps me find new blogs and helps my blog reach others.  I'm the worlds worst at commenting on other blogs but I know how much it excites me so I am going to do better!!!

Anyway I have had fun reading all your comments today and look forward to finding more new friends.

Today I really worked my tush off.  I had a very long day at work where I didn't do to much but then once I left work I got on the ball. 

I went straight to run a quick errand and then I couldn't decide if I wanted to workout early or late.  I was already in town, already hot so might as well make an early night of it.  I had to do 2 days of the 2 week CrossFit program I am trying since I didn't workout yesterday, holiday and all.  I did day 2 and got a good sweat going, then day 3 made the waterworks happen.  At one point I was doing back extensions and had sweat dripping off my nose!  Kinda gross but it intimidates the guys at the gym so Ill take it. 

I was lying on the floor trying not to drown in a pool of my own sweat, and I look up and see this.  Why is it not plugged in and on high????  Seriously????  It was 113 degrees in this room.


Side note:  I got winked at today at the gym!!!!  Ill take any advance by the opposite sex that I can get!

Then I left the gym and went to run the stadium again.  I was really tight in my legs and I needed to run a little bit today.  I didn't just go up and down the steps today, I ran around the track and then up and down on one side only.  It was a pretty intense 30 minute run.  The weather was looking terrible so I finally stopped.  I'm going to blame it on the weather, but this is the first time in a long time that my legs have felt like that.  They were waisted!  The last two trips up the steps I had to stop halfway up cause I just couldn't go any further.


I don't know what was up with the Map My Run App but it makes it look like I was running all over the place, it was just an oval track!

Either way it was one hell of a workout today.  I got done and took some more pictures, I'm going to master the self portrait/workout picture.

Can you see the storm that was rolling in?  Some gnarly lightening....I thought it wasn't safe to run in a metal cage anymore.

That is the face of pure exhaustion, steps in the background, and trying to hold the camera up while trying to catch my breath and not die!!!!  But my eyeliner stayed on pretty well.....and the head dress, this is the look that gets me called Rambo at praise band practice!

Well maybe the pictures aren't getting any better but at least I am taking some more now.  Anyway, I made it home early and before the rain.  I don't know if it is actually raining or not yet.  I have huddled up on the couch for dinner.  Every now and then I see a little bit of lightening through the curtains.

I huddled on the couch with a cold glass of chocolate milk.  Everywhere you look it says drink chocolate milk to recover, but tonight I actually looked at the jug of milk and it hurt my feelings.  This is not what I want to put in my body to recover.

 I think I am going to have to go back to the protein shake for recovery.  I don't want sugar, high fructose corn syrup in my recovery drink!  That being said I only had one glass....you know I'm drinking it out of a wine glass!


I have been working really hard to get ready for tomorrow so I am not rushed in the morning.  I have done ok in packing my bag but I have slacked off on packing my lunch.  I haven't taken the time to prepare my food before hand so tonight I am doing some cooking.  It saves money and time. 

So my bags are packed up for tomorrow, the dish washer is done, laundry is finishing up, and my food is in the crock pot and soon to be on the stove as well, only one to go but its not defrosted yet.  Then off to dreamland.  I don't love the gym right after work but I can see many benefits to it on nights like tonight.  I have accomplished a lot and its still early.

I have no morning workout planned but with the way my body is hurting right now I don't think I will be sleeping very deeply so I might be up early enough to get in a little something tomorrow, but hopefully just sleep.

KILLER workouts! Sweet!
I agree with you on the chocolate milk - Um, I guess I just don't get it. Ok, it's suppoed to be the right balance of carbs and protein, but I don't want to get my carbs from high fructose corn syrup.
Besides the fact, that when it comes to chocolate, one glass is never enough. So, I just stay away.

Kelliann, It really hurt my feelers about the chocolate milk. I thought it would just list milk and chocolate. Now I dont get my treat anymore. :(
