Holiday Week, Happy Christmas to All!!!

Happy Christmas Everyone!!!  I know you are all so busy this time of the year so I'm going to try to post this quick, mostly photos but a few stories that have to be explained.

Yes, I am that girl, the one who gets birthday presents and put on or carries all her new presents around.  I got a Vandy shirt, a ping pong paddle and a KitchenAid Mixer for my birthday.  We will get to the mixer in a few.  I also got other wonderful gifts like a check book cover and Starbucks gift cards and Tom's that I wasn't able to get a picture of...

My ping pong paddle is awesome and never in my entire life did I think I would ride around with a pink ping pong paddle in my car!!!

Once my birthday week had come and gone I got all into the holiday spirit!  And I dragged all the folks at work down with me.

My very first Kitchen Aid Creation!!!

Then it was time for the extended family Christmas gathering.  As you can see there are lots of people at this gathering...and this was just half the room...

That's one of my babies, sneaking a cookie.  He looks so guilty in this picture.

Then he poses for some pictures.

Once we got home I started cooking up a storm.  I am in charge of Christmas morning dinner.  I did most of my prep work on the 23rd because I don't have enough room in my fridge to keep it all in its original container.
And I needed to get all my cooking done before the Eve because I had a movie to go watch.  A little R & R for this girl because my bosses at work were so kind and gave me the day off!!!

CHRISTMAS MORNING....this year referred to Comfy Christmas!!!  Such a great idea, everyone had on sweats, no make up.  It was really just a day of fun and family and not worrying about a thing, ok so as you will see in a second there was a little worry.

Yes, that's right, this is a first for me.  We had a slight 911 call on Christmas morning.  My brother-in-law, bless his heart (that's what we say about stupid things in the south) was trying to open a box with a knife and sliced right through his wrist.  He came running towards the kitchen, which I happened to be in at the time with blood spurting from his wrist.  You wanna talk about sprung into action.  I threw my Bisquick all over the counter and just tried to stop the bleeding.  I cant even begin to tell you how much he was bleeding.  Anyway, after a 911 call where my sister announced to the dispatcher, "My bro in law slit his wrist.....on accident!!!"

The cut ended up being small but still pretty serious.  After attempting to play ping pong and having the wound break open he did end up at the ER and with a single stitch!
I love watching the big kids and the little kids play together...

This was our spread for the evening.  Soup, sandwiches, fruits and veggies and lots and lots of deserts.  I think we all ate pretty good and to much.
Now we are in recovery mode.  I have finally gotten all the stuff unpacked and assembled.  And now the piles of garbage and boxes are on the curb ready for the garbage man.

I'm not the only one who is pooped from the holidays.  Precious girl!!
I hope you all enjoyed the holiday.  I know I am blessed and I am very grateful for everything.  I hope you all enjoyed your season as well.  Merry Christmas to you all!!!!

Gym AM or PM

Tonight I did something that I have not done in months, literally months!  I went and worked out after work.  I forgot what it is like to workout in the evening.  I usually go after the early morning rush so the gym is not crowded but at the time I go its mostly older people.

This afternoon it was so different.  I found out several things that I have missed.....

     1.  There is no need to shower and dress once the workout is over...just drive home in the dirty workout clothes.

    2.  All the Cutie McHotboys aka Army McMarinemen workout in the afternoon!!!  I'm not sure how effective my workout really was but I liked the view, I love a man with a crew cut and an ARMY shirt!

    3.  Tonight I discovered if I get on the very last treadmill I don't have to watch myself run in the huge mirror while working out.

I generally get a better workout because I'm not so groggy and already warmed up but I think I still like my mornings better.  That way I dont have to worry about missing anything in the evenings.

This morning I slept in a little bit.  I was up late vandalizing my nephews car and catching up on my TV shows I needed a few more minutes this morning.  I also knew I had no plans this evening so I could postpone it.

He made fun of my antlers so he got his own!
I'm just trying to get in the spirit!  #tistheseason

It was an amazingly successful workout.  I did 2 miles on the rowing machine!!!!!  This is one of my favorite pieces of equipment.  Full body workout in a smooth gliding motion!  And I am pretty sure it is working every one of those muscles...

That is a personal best for me and I love this machine and this is the first gym I have been to since college that had a rowing machine.  2 miles and 2 meters in 22 minutes.  Now I did stay on 2 minutes more than the gym maximum but no once came to yell at me so I figured it was ok.

I was pretty excited about this...
Sorry this picture cracked me up...not because of the display but you can see me taking the picture in the background!  haha.

I'm just a touch sore, I did deep squats earlier this week and I haven't quite recovered.  Tomorrow I have to do legs again and hopefully the soreness will work out instead of get worse!  Especially since tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!  I think that means my body cannot be sore!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

That's right, it's almost my birthday!

Even though its 5 days away the festivities have begun. Today some sister, friends, and a niece came to join me for lunch today.

We had Nothin but Noodles, Nothing Bunt Cakes! And Yougrt Mountain! That's a heck of a birthday lunch.

I also got presents! My sisters got me a Starbucks gift card and a holiday ornament for my tree and Pats (just for you) got me glitter sparkle Tom's!

I must explain. I have wanted these sparkle Toms for months but unfortunately when you have huge feet the fun shoes don't always come in my size. Well my girls managed to find them in my size (actually a size biggest than I normally wear, that's big).

After a certain age sparkle Toms are inappropriate, I think it's 30! Whew, just made it!!!!

All in all it was a great day and a great start to my birthday season!!!!

The Longest Week Ever

This week has been the Christmas program at church.  Three nights of performances, one night at dress rehearsal, drag queen makeup and spikey fun hair.  I love to have any reason to put on way to much makeup!

It also became the week to take thousands of self portraits.  My sisters were so nice in helping me past my first night jitters by taking self portraits of themselves and sending them to me....then it became a thing....and if my sisters let me I'll post their photos too!!!  UPDATE:  I GOT A YES!!!!

This is what they were sending me.....

This is FatGirl's drag queen make-up extrodiare!

(Side note: I had one person ask how I turned my hair blue.  I use a violet toner to help with any brassy tones and I left it on just a bit to long.  The majority of it has washed away but you can still kind of see a blue/grey tone!)
I caught Elvis's scarf!!!
The self portraits quickly turned into back stage photos, which then chronicled the 3 days of the Christmas program....
This is my preacher dressed up as Elvis...he did a great job!!!!!
The self portraits quickly got posted to instargram under the #obsessedwithextremecloseups and my Biggest Loser contestant liked my photos and reposted it!!!!!!  My excitement is overwhelming.

The Christmas program has taken up 90% of my week and the other 10% has been HARDCORE at work.  I had to leave on time everyday and I like to leave with everything is done not when the clock strikes 5!
But today we did get to have a little bit of fun at work.  My manager sent and email before he got to work letting us know that he had been to the eye doc and that he was going to have to wear a patch for a few days so get our pirate jokes ready because he was only going to listen to it once....

We took it just a step to far and managed to get all kinds of pirate decorations ready to go!!!
Now that is office support right there!!!!

Now my one devastation (FIRST WORLD PROBLEM!!!) this week was really a tear jerker.  I set up an appointment 2 weeks ago to get upgraded to DVR.  This was my birthday present to myself.  I have looked forward to it.  I managed to have someone at my house for my 2 hour window, I even cleaned the toilet and straightened up so the cable guy wouldn't think I was a slob!
Well, he didn't show, he didn't call to tell me he was running around an hour behind, nothing.  I was furious.  I have been looking forward to this for weeks.  Now I am having to shop for a new cable service.  I set this appointment up before the new year and before the new season of Biggest Loser so I don't miss all the episodes like last season.  Now I am just pissed and DVRless!!!!
The only other thing I have going on this week is the new gym.  I have decided that I am going to join this new gym for a few months.  I have really enjoyed my free week trial and its worth a try right??!?!  Ill try anything once and I really liked this gym.  You know Ill let you know how I like it!!
Now I have to get my rest, I have been going hard for days now and I need some sleep!!!!!!
